Here it is – the super rare FFESSM 50th Annivers

Here it is – the super rare FFESSM 50th Anniversary Aqua Lung Regulator! Not the one branded “Mistral”

In 2005, Aqua Lung and the Fédération Française d’Études et de Sports Sous-Marins (FFESSM) joined forces to commemorate FFESSM’s 50th anniversary with a special scuba regulator release. The result was the FFESSM 50th Anniversary Regulator – a limited-edition twin-hose scuba regulator that paid homage to diving history while incorporating modern technology.

Only 100 units were made, making this regulator exceptionally rare and highly coveted among collectors. Its site pride of place with my other Mistral.

I’ve got both single hose and twin hose regulators from JC Higgins and New England Divers in my collection.
What’s interesting is that neither company actually manufactured these regulators—they rebranded models made by other manufacturers and sold them under their own names.

I do love an original DA Aqua-Master—especially when it’s still in its original box!
This beauty, serial number 251828, was likely produced between 1966 and 1967. One of the most iconic double-hose regulators ever made by U.S. Divers, the DA Aqua-Master ran from 1958 to 1973 and remains a favorite among collectors and vintage dive enthusiasts.
