Mistral La Spirotechnique
Mistral La Spirotechnique Made in France and mine is the second version as it has the company badge with the address Rue Trebois Levallois the first address was 6 Rue Cognac Jay.
For the development of regulators for swim divers, the French company La Spirotechnique is historically probably the most important in the world.
Founded in 1946 by mother Air Liquide, which still markets industrial gases today, only for the purpose of producing and distributing the two-stage compact controller CG45 developed by Gagnan and Cousteau, the company has continued to innovate controllers and is still producing a wide range of diving technology.
In 1958 the most famous “Mistral” controller, because it was extremely simple and robust, replaced the complex CG45.
With this inexpensive regulator, which regulates the high pressure of the cylinder down to the breathing pressure in just one step, there was also leaps and bounds in recreational diving.
